We set off at the weekend and are sailing to Spain then to Lourdes for a night before heading to the med!

I have worked out the journey and it all looks fine. I have booked into a site 25km south of Lourdes, www.camping-pyrenees-natura.com Has anyone done this or a similar route? I get the feeling that the main roads and motorways may be fairly flat (ish) - makes a difference with the caravan. Looking at the pictures of the campsite it looks as though the 25km journey is practically vertical! - can anyone help with any aspect - PLEASE??

Thanks Martin.

We travelled through France to Lourdes & then down to the north coast of Spain past Santander with not problems getting up to & from Lourdes with our relatively small car.   Lourdes is quite in the foothills so the roads are not particularly steep, plus they are of good condition.

Hope this helps, have a great trip

Nicola

Phew - Thank you! - The site mentioned that the road that it is on will be closed on the 19th for Tour de France (King of the mountains!)

Thanks,

Martin.
