Our first trip to France with the caravan is next month.
I keep hearing stories about the power supply on camp sites. The one we are going to has 6A. Do you get 6A before it trips out, or is it less. Have you any experience to share?

You should get 6amps but sometimes this depends of how much use the rest of the site is using at anyone time. We manage OK with 6amps whilst in France providing we remember to switch things off whilst not in use. Don't try and boil the kettle (low wattage)whilst the water heater is on!

Hi Guys,
Im going to France soon in our trailer tent and the hole electric thing confuses me,what things can you use without triping it. If the power does trip out,is it an embarasing dash to reception or do you have a reset button at the hook up point?

Mainly you do have to go to reception but some have open boxes. Should not be a problem if you are careful about what you have on at any one time.

Hi Nick,
don't be afraid of an embarrassing dash to our reception, just knock on the door and we'll gladly help you out! After all, we've ALL done it haven't we? We also have a re-set button on our UK style hook up bollards.

You can use 1150 watts with a 5 amp connection.
