Something like 'Nordic Summer' would be best - but I don't know where you would get it at short notice - Ray Mears webiste has it if you had more time.

Get to the chemist and buy the most powerful thing you can find!

I have usually found it better to buy the stuff locally, in France and Scotland and Portugal. Apart from anything else the French stuff is cheaper as well as stronger than standard stuff here.

Now you're bound to get loads of posts about this but thought I'd get in first, (for a change). But apparently the Avon Skin So Soft Woodland fragrance spray stuff is brilliant at keeping the mozzies away! I can't personally vouch for this, but there are zillions of members who swear by it! Honestly!

I have smelt this stuff and while opinions vary considerably on it, I don't think it pongs too bad at all but some folk say they think it's minging. Still, if it keeps the little beggars from feasting on you - who cares?

Forgot to mention that I will,  however, now be trying it next time we're anywhere near any mozzies be it at home or away! Knew I'd kept that Avon stuff for a reason lol

Burning incense sticks at night seemed to work when we were in France in June.

But don't they burn your ears when you've got them sticking in 'em to keep the mozzies off your body? lol Or do you stick 'em somewhere else while you're not in your tent?
