It makes your bum go, 'ooh, la, la' each time you wipe it!

cant see what difference it makes, it should all pulp up succesfully in the bog.maybe the french stuff is made up of shorter fibres that disentegrates easier when water is added where our stuff is long fibre for added strength or has more size added for extra resistancy to water?

Actually, Suzanne, it isn't - well, it is, but some is better than others at breaking down.
My cousin started buying some cheapy stuff from Lidl and her drain kept blocking up when she had visitors because the bog roll wasn't breaking down properly.

Fosse in my dictionary translates to pit, so in our sewage language it is the septic tank

Jo & I have had motorhomes for some years now, and we have allways been advised to use the expensive bog roll made by Thetford.
Last year we bought an RV with it's own built in bog tank. The bog was allways blocking up and caused many a row
When we moved to France ( http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=5166 ) Jo brought with us loads of Thetford bog roll. When it ran out we used the cheap pink bog rolls --- guess what --- NO MORE BLOCKS
