Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Rules about staying on a site for a Maximum number of nights is similar on the Continent as it is here (21 nights etc)?, just curious
cheers

Rob where did you hear about the 21day rule? If this is the case sites obviously break it. Ive spoken to people that have stayed at a particular site for most of summer. i know there is a difference in sites to residential sites, but I thought the rule was 10 months, otherwise the site would have to be registered for a residential liscense?
I think I am all confused about these Local Authority Laws panagah, I have seen reference to Maximum stays of 21 Days, 28 Days etc, is it that there are different rules for different types of sites I wonder?, thinking about it though on our very first Camping trip we spoke to two couples that stayed in their vans for most of the Year!, Christmas included by the way as they said how good the sites Xmas Dinner was!, how did they do this then I wonder, do they have a different licence to most sites?, I thought that a "seasonal Pitch" was just for the Summer Months!
Well all I can say to answer your original question is that, I have soem freinds that have a van on the costa del grot (spain) they are retirted, they live in the UK from November- March. When March comes they jump in to their car hitch up the van and go off to a site in Spain where they spend 6 months in the glorious sunshine. OOOOOO only another 25 years till I retire....
so basicaly I dont think the continental laws will be much different.
