hi, i'm heading over to france on the dover - calais hoverspeed on saturday and was wondering if anyone could advise how far in advance it is best to get there. It says on the website its a min on 30 mins before but have heard that there are extra security checks etc.. which mean it can take a while to check in..

We had problems last year with the check in, we arrived 30 mins before sailing to be turned away, we had to hang around Dover until the next sailing, a pain in the neck. Saying that we have necer had a problem before or since, It could of just been someone having a bad hair day?
