Has anyone been to this site?I've had a look at their website and it looks pretty good but if anyone has been I would value their opinions better. What is the area like? Have only been to Brittany and the Loire so have never ventured this far south!!!

Sorry do not know the site but have visited the region .....very flat huge plantations of fir trees houses are of a Swiss Chalet design many them . The beach is miles of wind swept sand and huge atlantic rollers that streatch along that coatsline . When I say wind-swept ........sandblasted would be more like it .....the site I stayed on  had so much sand in the soil the awning   pegs just pushed in with the palm of your hand .The beach resort I  vsited......Mimizan had loads of sand   piled up  against   the doors of the shops and cafes.and at Arcachon is the worlds   biggest sand dune ! all I will say is I never went into the sea it scared the hell out of me ...glad I visited the area but its not a place I will return to............if you have kids and the site has all you will need then fine you could have a great time in this part of France  its cartainly    "different "

Thanks for the reply avanman. The area certainly looks beautiful in photos but the reality is somewhat different. May have to go back to the drawing board with that one.....hmmm...
