It would be a good idea to get yourself an up-to-date copy of volume 2 of Caravan Europe, it costs about £10 or so, you don't have to be a member, but members get it cheaper. Loads of good info, and gives plenty of other sites, and sites en-route.

We stayed at Korona Camping at Gaj in 2004.

They were very welcoming if a little short on English and the bus stops almost outside the site if you want to visit the old city of Krakow. (I thoroughly recommend it. An ancient barbican guards the gate through the wall which separates the chaos of modern Krakow from the beautiful mediaeval city).

The fascinating salt mines are not far away and the haunting quietness of Auswitz should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

Ah yes! It's definitely time to return.

We didn't experience any problems with the roads but we had come up from Romania. Now there's another story.
