I'm planning on taking a slow drive down to Spain and back and have no idea where we'll end up with our tent each night. Just plan to find a camp site around 5 o'clock each night wherever we are.

Can anyone recommend a publication/book we can take with us as a campsite guide or even a web-site where I can print off likely spots on our route?

Not looking for anything flash or with many stars. Can even live without a hook-up.

Is there a list of municipal sites? Years ago I can remember camping inside sports stadiums.

Any help appreciated.

You could do alot worse than to check through the French campsite listings on UKCS. There are a few of us that are open all year round.

Have a look at The Michelin Guide. It's fairly compact and light weight. It lists all kinds of sites from large commercial to small village municipals. The latter will be ideal for overnight stops. They are good value and most have shower/toilet facilities. Most towns have them and they are generally well sign posted. The down side is that it's in French but easy to work out.
