I know this isn't strictly to do with camping but, we are moving to Switzerland (Basel) this summer. We will be driving there probably going through the tunnel.I am trying to find places to stay overnight, camping won't be an option as the tent will be in a container along with all our wordly possessions!

Any help or info will be greatly apprieciated,

Basel is a very easy 1 day drive from (460 miles via motorways) Calais, even with a caravan, so solo you will not need an overnight stop.

I hope you enjoy Basel,  my brother and family have lived there for ten years.  The have only recently moved over the border to Rixheim as house prices are cheaper.  My brother and the kids still commute to work and school.  half an house by train/tram.
