Hi, I am looking to take my van across to Calais and then onto Eindhoven. Does anyone have any site info PLEASE?????? Boro FC, UEFA CUP FINAL EINDHOVEN 2006
This is a nightmare, UEFA have selected the smallest ground imaginable to play the Final, and there is also no Hotel space at all in Eindhoven, and from what I understand there are lots of Boro trying to go there. I cannot find anything on search for Tourers in the Netherlands, can anyone advise what the Netherlands is like for tourers please?
Valkenswaard is very near Eindhoven.
I don't know the campsite myself, but from their website it looks good.
http://www.vakantiebundel.info/index_vb.html Than choose 'brigse Heide'as this shows 8 or 10 campsites
It's part of the Oostappen group. Family minded campsites.
For some more options go to
http://www.eurocampings.net/
Choose English and go to 'Noord Brabant', as that is the province in which Eindhoven is situated. You will find several other campsites near Eindhoven.

In Holland you should not specifically look for 'tourers'. If it is a holiday park, just statics, it will not be indicated as campsite. But if you just look for campsites you will find what you need.
We do not make a distinction between tenting and tourer campsites.
There is a number of campsites of course that have statics as well as tent/touring pitches, but you will find those just as campsites.
By the way we call it 'camping', not campsite. So when searching for 'camping' you should find a lot.
As I said to already: just for a start try the ACSI campsite index: http://www.eurocampings.net/
And by the way, if you are looking for hotelspace by preference, why not look around in the small towns around, like in Valkenswaard.
If you have a map, use that for names of towns/villages around Eindhoven.
www.telefoongids.nl is the internet telephoneguide of the KPN, and although in Dutch you wil find your way. just choose a place name (under 'plaats') and as 'persoon' type in 'hotel', and you will find hotels in that place. It also has the option to look for phonenumber plus addresses in a region, instead of just one town. Picking just Valkenswaard I found a hotel De Valk in one minute: website: http://www.hoteldevalk.nl/nl/
This is in Valkenswaard, which no doubt has good bus connection to Eindhoven. Or rent a car, bring yours, or whatever you like.
It's just an idea.

mate your a star, well I have taken the plunge and booked the ferry. It was a bargain against the option of flying. Myself and my wife are going from Dover to Calais for £110 return. Its 3 hours to Eindhoven from Calais. Next problem is a ticket, but so long as I am near the Stadium, win or lose, the ticket does not really matter. Cheers for the info.
again, thanks, you have not just helped me because Ive linked this to some Boro lads who were in need of different options. Cheers again. I think it must be frustrating for local people when visitors are constantly directed towards the big Citys like Amsterdam, when perfectly good accomodation is available in the region of Eindhoven/ Noord Brabant.
have you booked any where as we are taking our campervan over on tuesday out of hull and we are finding it a bit difficult to find a camp site what have you come up with?

We are staying at Camping de Paal for a couple of nights in June. 9 miles south west of Eindoven. It was in the caravan club Europe brochure. Haven't been there before though we have been to Holland a few times, it is a good country for caravanning and camping
