Hi We are overnighting at Lens and then onto Clermont Ferrand. All the Route planner sites suggest via Paris . Any suggestions or recomendations on this , should we keep clear and take a longer route ?

No probs around Paris--you would be going around the outer ring road-the N104--usually runs ok--
