Has anyone had recent experience of this site.  Brochure looks great, but are the facilities as good as they look, or getting tatty?  We are booked in 6 weeks time.  I'm particularly interested to hear if there are any reverse polarity issues etc.

Not been to that one but Yelloh 4* sites are generally darned good for facilities.  May be busy (popular) .... but what the heck?

As far as reverse poliarity is concerned, as long as you take a tester and either take an adapted connector or swap the live/pos if required there's no problem.  In the past we've even moved pitches on the same site and found reverse polarity ......... just as I've bought an extension cable from B&Q recently and discovered that one of the four sockets is permanently live!!

One thing, the 'extras' at Yelloh are darned expensive. Two weeks ago we stayed at a site (les Alicourts) and wanted wi-fi access each day ..... it was extortionate!  But other things were fine and the staff were superb.

John

I have to say that the Yelloh style of campsite is not really my general sort of campsite. I prefer a quieter type of site but if you want to be on or near the beach you often don't have that choice! However we have not long returned from Le Serignan Plage in the South of France which is another Yelloh campsite. I thought the facilities were to a pretty good standard if they are the same at La Ranolien I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I think I take issue with Oozat a bit over the cost of WiFi. I paid 8 euros for a card that lasted an hour and could be used during your stay until you had used the time. Now this seems to correspond with costs of BTOpenzone or Cloud here in the UK. Firstly I am greatful that a site provides WiFi facilities, so extra Brownie points to Yelloh for that and its a jolly sight cheaper than using my mobile!

David
