I've booked 6 nights at Sunelia Le Patisseau camp site at Ponic has any one any info or coments on this site. I've bought some travel guides on the area but first hand experiance is miles better. So any places of interest would be most helpful.

When going down to the Vendee from St Malo, we drop off at Pornic for lunch. What a beautiful little fishing port it is! After a walk around the shops and along the river/creek we go into town and find a little restaurant/creperie away from the touristy part and have a lovely lunch. It's a great way to start a holiday.
Can't help you with the surrounding areas etc, but Pornic is lovely.
Went to Pornic in 1997 and it was stunning! The beach at penestin is lovely Plage Mind D'dor or something like that. Gerande(?) is a lovely walled town not too far away and a trip on the marshes round the salt flats is fantastic saw all sorts of wildlife. A truely lovely area and not too commercialised. Oh you have got me going now I want to go back!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
