I am looking for a caravan site to stop overnight at the begining of August which is convenient for the ferry crossing from St Malo. Any reccomendations? Thanks

Try the municipal site at Tinteniac (Camp Municipal du Pont L'Abbesse) about 35 miles south of St Malo and just off the motorway/dual carriageway towards Rennes.  It's right beside the canal de l'Ille et Rance.  Nice site and very cheap - we paid €40 for 4 adults, 1 tent and 1 small campervan for 4 nights with EHU.  The facilities are oldish, but clean with plenty of hot water.

Try one of the 4 municipals in St Malo. We favour the one in Rotheneuf & then walk into the village for dinner in the brasserie.
