Thanks Amy

I too have had my fill of Disney but I suspect the kids will still have to have at least one more trip. We also visited Futuroscope later in the holiday & that was a much more civilised type of theme park with more for adults & an incredible laser & firework show.

We didnt take the trailer to Disney but left it in the hotel car park. Because of the uncertainty we decided to book a Formule 1 just outside the park. I did look & couldnt see any sign of trailers in the car park.

Hi Simon.

We've just got home after a wonderful 3 weeks or so in France (Loire/Ile D-Oleron/Dordogne/Paris) The weather could have been more consistent - when it was warm it was hot but rain at night - but never-the-less really enjoyed it. Picked up two great tips before we went - hire a fridge and buy some Speedo-style trunks before you go - both from this site. Thanks. We found our camp sites in the Alan Rogers book and can't recommend them enough. All were wonderful - but different in style. Perhaps I should keep quiet?

The site near Disney on the way home was just right. Only 15 minutes or so from the park. We bought a One-Day Two-Park Hopper for Sunday 27trh August but stayed in the one park all day. We made sure we got there before the offical opening time of 9am (8.15) because it's a little known fact that they let you in early. We were then in position to do all the big rides time and time again before any queues started. We made sure we stayed right to the end for the fire-works at 11pm. A long day but worth it. It was a surprise trip for our girls and they loved it but my wife and I (quietly) thought it didn't come anywhere near the Disney Parks in Florida and Califormia we've visted. The staff weren't as friendly or helpful, some things (sinks/taps and steps) were broken and not fixed, there was more litter and for us Disney is America and doesn't need to be French. Mind you, I still filled up at the end for "When you wish Upon a Star".

Neil

Hi Neil

Sounds like a great holiday. It seems a very long time since we got back & am already planning next years visit, to the Vendee probably. I think your spot on about Disney Land Paris & thats probably why Its lost its magic for me. Maybe one day ill make it back to Florida but I cant imagine holidays without my TT.
