Confusion reigns !

Mappy.com and Viamichelin seem to give differing info re the A28 between Le Mans and Tours. One shows the road complete, the other the Autoroute A28 finishing at Ecomny. Has anyone tried the route recently and if so, like life, where does it end ?

I know Ann H used it a few weeks back, but I don't know how far it goes down.

It's on our doorstep. It's complete. We used it from Le Mans up almost to Le Havre when we went to the UK in May. We have campers here that have used it more recently (this morning) and apart from being a bit boring it does the job of moving traffic along....

Hope it is not as boring as the road to Margate.

The route north, toward coast, seems clear enough it is the route south to Tours to join the A10 that is open to debate. I suppose we will find out by trying it but I am always concerned about getting fuel, nothing worse than using schoolboy french to find the nearest garage!!!

There was a recent thread on the subject of the new stretch of the A28 and garages recently. It was recommended that you fill up before hitting the new stretch as the garages, Aires etc have not yet opened. See here

Mikerc, what part of the first line of Floydfan's answer do you not understand?

It goes down to the A10 by Tours.

Cant remember how long the stretch with out services was.(Think it was about 60 miles).

We always set off with a full tank and were only doing 260 miles a day which is less than a tank full
