Depends where in Brittany you are but Quimper is a lovely city and Concarneau is also very nice with lots of shops and the old town to mooch round, great harbour etc.  Pont Aven is a beautiful little place with lots of local artists selling their stuff and the most delicious cakes. Hope you enjoy your stay, Brittany is beautiful, we are going back next week!!!

We stayed in Trinite sur Mare in Southern Britanny and LOVED it! Campsite was called Camping le Baie right on the beach, nice size pool, full service pitches and really nice people running it.

Lovely towns around like Auray and Vannes, Gulf of Morbihan adjacent for lovely boat rides etc. Fab beaches, great seafood and wine. Dead easy drive from the Channel ports.

What more do you need?

Vic

anywhere is good, they all do galettes - what more do you need!!!!

North and West coasts are more dramatic, South is beautiful  all with loads of bays and clean sand

Hi there. We have been going to Brittany for the past 10 years. (Most years in June and September).

Southern coast is more commercialised with plenty of sites with "facilities". We prefer the northern coast. North of Lannion the coast line is of pink granit. Fabulous coastal walks, little quite beaches often to be found tucked away. Less busy than the south with plenty of interesting places to visit. If you go south try Benodet, and take the 90 minute boat trip up the Odett to Quimper. We go up in the morning, have a mouch arond the shops, have lunch, then return by boat. A great day out.

We are off on the cheap ferry (Portsmouh/leHavre) 2nd Sept. Cant wait.
