Another question!! In the information that we received with our tickets it says we need 2 warning triangles for France but then somewhere else it says you only need 1 for France and 2 for Spain, which one is right. Also Halfords charge a tenner for one of these, is there anywhere else where they are cheaper especially if we have to buy 2

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
In the unlikely event you needing a warning triangle or 2 if there is a pound shop near you they sell them, I dont know if they comply to all the rules of our masters in Brussels, but they will do the job, and if you do get as far as Spain the poundshops also sell the yellow Hi Vis jackets as well. kiev
Watch out in the likes of Poundstretcher and B&M for cheap ones. Also Wilkos do one I think. Like David we have only ever taken one to France and seen the odd breakdown when we are over there and only ever seen one triangle in use so must be ok.

halfords is probably the dearest place to go for anything like this. have a look on ebay, might be some on there.
i got one given off my dad, its 30 years old but never been used and does the job.going to take my hi-vis from work and see if i can pick a couple more up as they`re always lying about the place.
The current legal position is that you need 1 for France and 2 for Spain ...... but it's probable that France (and other countries) will follow suit and require 2 at some stage.
Personally I just take two triangles at all times as it makes sense to me to have them in case one is 'needed' at the front of the vehicle as well as the back, and I also carry plenty of hi-viz vests in each car. Plus, there are 'flashing' lamps etc available when needed, some of which can be attached by velcro to the triangles .... or to me!
If you've ever broken down (or had a flat!) in a dodgy position you will appreciate why - especially when towing. I've had all the warning signs out, hazard lights on and people flagging drivers to slow vehicles down and still been almost anhilated by idiot motorists.
For the sake of a few € or £ surely it makes sense to protect yourself?

thanks guys, think we'll just get the one for now as on a tightish budget with one thing and another. We're not towing this time but when we do I'd probably get another

If your towing a Trailer/Caravan in France then you should have 2 triangles with you.
If the trailer breaks down, you have to deploy 1 triangle, if you then have to go into town (for spares ect) you are legally obliged to carry a triangle in the car in case that breaks down. (Hope this makes sense)
You need two in France for the reason he states. Also if you keep the triangle in the van, the chances are you will leave it there when you drive offsite for the day!

Got ours from Towsure and can't remember how much it was but certainly not £10!! Don't forget you also need your fire extinguisher and spare light bulbs for car.
Just thought I'd let you know I got one for £4.69 from Motosave in town. I checked out Towsure and there were charging £4.75 (not sure about how much postage would have been). Just need to get some Hi Vis jackets, spare bulb set and those headlight thingys
