 just back from bien assise in france found site really good busy but not intrusive pitches really good clean and nice shower and toilets wife enjoyed that much allready looking at booking for next year and it got 12 yr olds approvel too so we would reccomend anyone else been and was there impression as good

We have stayed there a few times and as you say a nice site. Its likely we will stay there on our way back from our next holiday in mid September. It does however depend from which direction you are coming. If from western France (as we will be)  it is a convenient stopping point if from the east and south, I personally find it a bit out of my way.

We liked it for an overnight before an early morning chunnel on the way back. As long as you are away from the road its great.

We use la bien assise for overnight stops but would not really want to use it for any longer than that. The site is great for overnights as it is so close to the ferries but does not compare in quality to other sites in the Castels chain which we have stayed on.
