Just type "Hossegor Camping" into google and it will come up with loads of sites that are suitable for surfers. Your route down will depend upon which ferry you use but if you go into Via Michelin it will work the route out for you. Hope you find somewhere suitable.

Hi

Camping Col D'Ibardin is nearby and has featured in a few recent threads. I enjoyed my stay there this year, despite having a tight pitch, and issues with neighbours running electric cables over my pitch.

Whichever site you end up on, the "village", if that's the right word, of Col D'ibardin is worth a visit. If only to fill up your car at 1Euro a litre!

Enjoy.

Hossegor is a town not just a beach-a few miles nth of Biarritz--it aint that camping friendly--theres no campsite within walking distance of the beach--most surfies camp at the camping municipal at Seignosse a couple of miles nth-(drinkin & smokin substances far into the night)you can park behind the main beach--its certainly a lovely town & beach & yoove probabley heard of it cos its the surfers paradise--but if you want a family campsite nr the beach where you can surf theres any number up & down the SW coast of France-but none actually at Hossegor-if your driving from Calais go Rouen, Chartes, Tours, Poitiers, Bordeaux-650 miles approx---
