We have used Etaps from the same chain and leave a Picasso loaded to the windows for all to see and its never been broken into. I dont see why a roof box should be more vulnerable. You see lots of them on cars in the hotel carpark. I wouldnt be worried about it as even the pedestrian gate is secured at night.
The good thing about the Formula 1 hotel, is that it is usually totally surrounded by its own carpark. After you have checked in, have a quick look out of the window of your room, and you can usually park close by, if not directly underneath.
You can secure the window of your room ajar if you want- but remember to take some mozzie room spray if you do!!

Hi, there was a similar thread last week. I said then that I'd had no issues staying at similar chains. It's just a case of being sensible about what you leave in the roof box if you think that's vunerable.
I just searched for said thread, but found an older on instead.
Hi, I stayed in a B&B Hotel in Caen this August and someone tried to lift the tarpaulin on my trailer, I noticed the following morning, luckilly I had an alarm fitted so nothing taken. The alarm is inside the trailer with a cord attatched to the bungee, as soon as someone lifts the tarp, the cord pulls out a pin in the alarm and the alarm sounds until the battery runs out.

Im fascinated Dave because we had our tarpaulin lifted in an Aire this summer but thankfully returned in time. We only later realised that the bloke standing near our trailer in the middle of a near empty lorry park on a mobile phone was the key suspect. Is this alarm easily purchased or is it something you "cobbled" together??
Details appreciated
Simon F (I tell you what you dont want your tarpaulin lifted in an aire too often ooh err mother)
If you look on E-bay for Sure Gaurd personal attack alarms you will find them there, I bought mine for £3 each, I fitted one to the front and one to the back, best £6 I have ever spent.
