I was going to book a pitch in the Vendee and take a our own tent when we buy it. But saw a company called Leisure Direction offering tents on sites in Vendee for approx £250 for 19 days on site has anyone dealt with this company or is it an offer to good to be true
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We have used them for short breaks in hotels and have had no problems. What you do need to watch for, though, are the 'add-ons'. I wouldn't mind betting that by the time you had added supplements for this, that and the other, the price would have increased more than somewhat. But there would certainly be no harm in getting a quate from them!
Leisure Direction also do very good value 'Weekends' - ferry/tunnel/hotel. We've been on a couple and they've both been excellent value. Haven't seen their vans on site, but they've been around a long(ish) time as a travel company, so you should have no problems. Sometimes they take on weeks which haven't sold, directly from the site owners, and do very good deals on these.

I've just been looking at a brochure, and prices are listed as 'From £xxx', which is for a week either very early, or very late, in the season, i.e. March/April or October. For the main season, prices seem to be considerably higher, e.g £620ish. That still represents good value, I would have thought, but not the absolute bargain you might expect from a quick glance at the first figure. As I say, we have used this company for short breaks, staying in hotels and have no complaints, except that the 'headline' price is usually somewhat less than what you actually pay.
I can thoroughly recommend them, the tent and mobile holidays they sell are actually unsold Keycamp holidays, usually outside the school holidays.
The kit is the normal Keycamp stuff and not second rate in any respect. Used them a couple of times in the past including this summer and will probably use them next year.
As always look out for the small print but we have not found them to be any worse than other firms in this respect.
We've used Leisure Direction and were reasonably happy evey time. It looks as though they 'buy' bulk vacancies at low prices from major companies and market them. We've always ended up in a 'cheap' slot when we've used them, but that hasn't been a problem for us as it's been an extra holiday ......... so we've accepted what we can get.
Their staff have been absolutely superb and have gone out of their way to assist us when we've had to make alterations. So, no complaints.
Im just new to this web site and am looking for any further advice on the leisure direction company if you could possibly help?
