Am thinking of Duinrell next summer ,was hoping for some reviews on here but cant see any ,or am I missing them ?
was going to go ito Disneyland Paris but kids like the idea of Duinrell better, think the waterpark looks fab
Anyone been and any advice ,hoping to have a year off (bit of a rest )from actual camping ,Getting a bit tired of long drives and putting large tents up at the end of them.Thinking of maybe a mobile home or a ready erected tent .
thanks Chris

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
...hi, there are some as I was looking at them recently - think you might find them if you search for Holland in the abroad threads....good luck - are you planning on taking your own tt or hiring a caravan/bungalow there - curious as I'd like us to take the combi over but haven't really priced it up...Mary
Hi marynov, think I met you once at Kenmore many moons ago!! Sure I remember you showing me round your Fc
We have just sold our trailer tent and are buying a tent "again" found the trailer tent too much like hard work and feel we will get more use out of a quick erect
Eithe that or feeling our age a bit !!!
Were hoping to rent a tent ,had a look on Eurocamp etc ,pricey for the summer hols but looks good
Will let you know when we price itup properly what we have gone for
...Chris, its coming back to me slowly!! Like everything else these days! Were you visiting someone else from ukcs - or am I fuddled??
Really fancy Duinrell so keep me posted!! As you can see I moved to a quick-up combi-camp - took the scenic route though.. Have fun
Hi Chris,
we are off to Duinrell on 20TH october for half term,
this will be our 3rd time as my kids aged between 17 & 5 love it here. we have used Eurocamp mobiles in the past but this time we are going with Keycamp as it was so cheap £260 for 2 adults ,2 teens & 2 littlies in a 3 bed mobile including ferry to calais. Have never been in the summer hols before as it is so expensive (even on their own website the camping looked expensive) although the facilities are excellent so if its not out of your price range go for it.
Duinrell has the best indoor pool we have seen with huge scary slides(never been brave enough myself!!), lazy river, baby slides ,wave pool, sauna etc.
The theme park has a few big rides Madmill & a brilliant log flume on which you get soaked, but Ithink is mostly geared for the youngsters with train rides, carousel, wild west train ,clowns walking about ,face painting etc. & mine really like the indoor play area.
There is loads to do in the area the local town is a stroll away Wassenaar is very pretty with plenty of shops including an Aldi. The icecream parlour is fab.
Duinrell is close enough to visit Amsterdam which we did by train,Delft is beautiful and more peaceful than Amsterdam we did a canal boat trip here. Rotterdam zoo has sofar been our kids favourite trip .
Scheveningen has a long beach with restaurants all along the edge and a pier and the sealife centre.
I'm going to stop rambling now as I sound like an advert sorry!! The last bit I will say is about ferries this time we are going Dover Calais which we have never done before we usually use Harwich to Hook which is more expensive but leaves only about 25 miles to drive in Netherlands, will let you know which is better after hols. Hope this helps if you want to know anything else or see pics let me know.
Lou
