Does anyone know of a site near to the A83 slightly south of Nantes - needed for a night's stopover?

This site is just off the A11 which skirts Nantes. Leave at junc 24 at r/bout turn left, go under m/way, at next r/bout turn right and follow the road to the site near the river.

Camping Belle Riviere,  44980 Ste Luce-sur-Loire [tel: 02 40 25 85 81] Medium site, hardstands, wc (some continental), serviced pitch, chemical waste disposal, showers, hook-up , gas, laundry , snacks, restaurant, bar, playground, pool, open all year

I stayed in the Premier Classe Motel, just off the ring road in Nantes last year, It has a barrier controlled access to the carpark, and only cost €36 for a family (Double + single bunk) + ensuite room. (http://www.premiereclasse.fr/?l=en)

Saved lots of unpacking, breakfast is also available (extra cost) from an all you can eat type buffet.

We booked in advance, and were given a code to allow us access to the hotel, when reception was closed, which was very handy for our late arrival.

There is a very good municipal site in Nantes itself, its in the Alan Rogers guide, or try Nantes tourist info.

Hi Billybhoy999

Had a look at Nantes tourism page and they gave a couple of sites - do you remember the name??

Camping du Petit Port, Camping Belle Riviere or Camping du Loiry  - any of these ring a bell?

Thanks

Sharon

I believe Le Petit Port is the site recommended in Alan Rogers. I have read two or three different good reviews about it, so have marked up my campsite book accordingly!
