We are going to a site near perpignan and need to have a half way stop over.What would be a good place to stop with a caravan.We are traveling from le Havre.

I would just look for a municipal site after I had done half the miles.
There are municipal sites everywhere, all villages have them. If you are on the motorway just come off when you have done half your miles join the N road and there will be signposted municipal site. We have always done this even when we had four kids under 6 and we always find the sites great.
Other than that you could work out your half way point and look for a site on the Alan Roges website at that point.
I prefer not to be booked because if things go well on the first day I like might like to go further than expected so as to leave less for the following day and arrive earlier.
Good afternoon lilyjoy, didnt say which route you are taking, by have stayed at a Municipal site de L'Allochon Montmorillon 86500, on my way down south twice v/good site clean, free showers etc, last time ended staying 4 days. regards David.
Had a good gander a the map and done a mitchalin plan.Think we're going to stop at Bourges,there is a municipal there.Do you think it best to book as it will be the 8th Aug and it's holiday time.Have never gone that far with the van before.We booked the hotel last time.
