Has anyone been to this site? we were thinking of booking as it is close to beach and town (not always easy to find) but in all the talk about the vendee no one has seemed to mention it, can't find any reveiws etc. Well, maybe that's good, I suppose someone would have said if it was horrible!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

I haven't been to the site, but having spent 6 months in the southern Vendee this summer I know the one you mean. It is right on the beachfront by the main car park for La Tranche. Its probably about a 2 minute walk to the centre of the town.

When cycling past the pitches always looked a decent enough size. And it looked fine - can't say anymore as I only took the odd glance. Because of its location it may be slightly noisy, but its location is pretty much spot on for everything else.

Hope that helps,
Sean

Thanks Sean, however we decided to book La  Yole, a bit further north. It looks a nicer site, a bit shorter journey and cost less, but I did like the location of La Baie.

thanks again

Jean
