I'm looking to camp throughout Ireland with a group of about 9, 7 men and 2 ladies, we are in our 30s and 40a, in September, a couple of campervans and a few tents.

Am I being a bit optomistic to think that campsites over there will accept a large group of mainly English men. Has anybody any experience of doing this, or simply have an opinion on our chances.

You should be fine, and in September you should have no need to book. Contact some sites beforehand and see what they say. Lucky ladies! We have been to Ireland quite a few times, so if you need any more advice, please ask!
