Obviously I know I can sell privately or offer to a trade seller. Someone mentioned a business acting as a broker. Does anyone have experience of this, good or bad, or know of any disadvantages?
No personal experience but I have seen several comments online about people selling via a dealer on a commission basis which might be worth looking into?
Our friends sold theirs via a dealership. The paid a £200 fee up front for advertising costs, photos, website etc. The van had to remain insured with the storage location changed to the dealership and the final fee was a sliding scale percentage wise depending on what it sold for. They were happy with the deal and the experience getting more for the van than they would part in part ex.
If it causes a situation where caravan is sold but broker is holding money from that sale then you need to be very sure broker will not be going out of business.
