I'm looking for a large caravan that will be store and sited on a campsite within an hour of Gloucester, maybe a hobby but must have bathroom , any ideas of the possible sites or opinions on the hobby caravans
Older Hobby tend to rot at floor corners so check that on any you look at. For a large German twin axle LMC or Tabbert are better built than Hobby & more likely to be in better condition if 10yrs old or so. Most of this type of caravan sold in UK will be well used for residential living & can be a bit knocked about inside & out.

Be aware that some sites for some strange reason will not accept Hobby, Tabbert and similar caravans.
I've come across this on too.....where my caravan is stored there is a sign in the office advising that they will not accept Hobby caravans. When I asked the reason I was told that it is because they are popular with the
Travelling community and stand a higher risk of being stolen.
You need to go & look at one to find that out. Most being sold at 10yrs or older have been used for residential all their lives so are often well worn & knocked about. By contrast a 10yr old smaller touring caravan may only have been actually lived in for a year or so.
If body length is over 7mtres they are not legal to be towed by a private vehicle only a commercial over 3.5tonnes gvw so not suitable as a tourer. & demand for site caravans of that age will be quite small.
