Does such a caravan exist? We have a nice 2 berth Swift Conqueror 480 and love it but as we get older a fixed bed appeals. There are just two of us so we do not need a four berth and would like to keep to a length that will fit into our drive. 7.0m is about the maximum. Longer is possible if we do some alteration work which is possible if essential.
Has anyone got such a caravan and do they recommend the one they have?
I can google and look through catalogues but personal recommendation is far better.

-------------
We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.

Just checked practical caravans layout guide and there are no two berth fixed beds, all have seats that can be made into beds. I have a two berth twin bed, front seats could be made into a double until I put a set of drawers in the gap (mine is layout G on the chart)

A 2 berth fixed bed is in fact small a 4 berth but you don't fold down the dinette & use as a 2 berth. Probably nothing available in UK makes but google Caravelair which are French made & sold by Marquis in UK. They will have what you want.t

Fixed bed either lengthways or transverse with dinette is a popular layout for small & med size continental makes but not many UK importers unless you want to buy abroad.

If that's what you want buy a 2 berth and leave the front bed made up. Won't work well though as nowhere to sit by day.

There are short 4 berth fixed beds like the Bailey 460/4 but I always feel the front is rather claustrophobic. The bed always seems to dominate.

We've had fixed bed 4 berth but prefer a simple 2 berth with end wash room. Small and easy to tow but still feels spacious.

Thanks Grandad Kenny and Opensauce. That is what I thought but I hoped I was wrong and that there was a nice small fixed bed caravan available.
I agree it is easy to use a four berth as a two berth but hoped to keep the size down a little.

Thanks I looked and Caravelair look good. I think I'll be taking a trip to the nearest dealer next year.

We have a Bailey Ranger 460/4 which, although technically a 4 berth is realistically a two berth with a fixed bed.
The shipping length is only 6.33m so it would fit in your drive.

I had an LMC 450 tk 5 berth front and rear doubles wth a bunk above the rear about 6m in length when the kids left home we left the rear double made up and used as a 2 berth with a front left as seating
prior to that we had an adria and a caravelair all 3 caravans had similar layouts all were continental vans but when looking around the dealers knaus and hobby also had similar layouts in their smaller vans
the LMC stayed with us for 25 years so it is a wee while since we last looked at caravans that would suit us

We have a conqueror 480 . We sometimes leave the seats made up as beds two singles and just put throws over them. The backs need to be removed to sleep , I just store them on the floor along the side of the seats .
We had a fixed bed caravan and changed back to this layout for ease of storing and towing etc .
I don't find the beds a problem at all it takes about 5 mins. I have a mattress topper from dunelm ( not memory foam ) I have covers made from sheets to cover these they just role out on top of seats then use duvets. Plus some throws .
We are not young at all .
but I hope you find what you are looking for .

When we changed from our little xplore, looked long and hard at all the layouts, after the small van we decided that living space was a priority (or we might as well keep what we had)
2 berth end washroom was the way to go, fairly compact van for tugging but nice area to lounge in and a washroom you could swing a cat in.
No more pulling down blinds to get changed, yes we would love a fixed bed but they take up a lot of space and you feel like your still bumping in to things... anyway that's the wife's job to make the bed up.
