I am a newbie and have recently purchased a caravan within automatic motorised satellite dish installed. The only thing visible inside the van is the aerial socket. I have purchased a tv with inbuilt satellite tuner, do just plug in the aerial to use it? I feel that I am missing some other equipment here!

What make model is the Dish, if auto seeking, there will be some kind of control box, to enable it to lock onto the correct satellite.

Or it could just be a motorised version of a handcranked Dish, in which case there will be a button panel somewhere in the van, to flip the Dish up and adjust rotation/elevation.

Could even be remote control!

Many thanks, I too suspect that there is missing equipment like a control box and possibly remote. The seller was very vague about it which raises my suspicion of missing parts!
