Hi all I'm goin to be putting up my 1st awning this week and I'm looking for as much advice hints tips as possible please also can you tell me about storm straps please

YouTube has zillions of vids on putting up awnings. They might even have your specific one.

Storm straps normally clip on to the awning using a large plastic buckle, the strap has one, the other piece is attached to the awning front corners. The strap also has a spring at the bottom which a large steel peg goes through. Also when the wind blows around 60mph you may need extra guying. Awning manufactures may have different fixings.
