Hi, we have just placed the cassette in place with the blade closed. It seems like its locked in and won't come out. I don't want to break it by pulling. Howe easy should it come out ? I take it the blade should also be closed to remove it. Help appreciated.

If you mean the grey cover that you slide across to close of the tank, then yes it should be closed to remove it.

My only advice would be to take the tank back out and see if you can manually open and close it, and then try and slide the handle in the caravan. Other thing to do would also to try and lubricate everything, a bit of silicone spray or olive oil would do.

Oh sorry wasn't clear. I can open and close the blade from inside the caravan and the grey tank worked via the button before I put it in. I just can't get the tank out

If you had said it was a Thetford C200 model I would have suggested to lift the yellow bar at the front. Our first caravan had the bench type C4 model and when I changed over to a later model caravan I had exactly the same problem with the C200 model till the dealer pointed out that you have to lift the yellow handle first. It's a security device to stop the cassette moving but it's easy to remove once you know how.

Ye mine has the little yellow/orange bar at the front, regularly forget about it (usually first thing in the morning)
