Hello all. We have gone over to the other side and swapped our motor home for a caravan. We have an Outdoor Revolution drive away awning that we are not letting go with the motor home. My wife says why can't we use the drive away awning on the new van, but I don't think they are compatable. It has beading for an awning rail, but I just don't think they are designed for caravans. Anyone cane across this before.

hi , a long time age we had a similar awning and made it fit. you can buy skirt awning with a awning bead attached, then we cut and machined extra pieces on to the drive away awning so any extra height etc was covered
try and see what will fit your van then if extra is needed then fit just as required
hope this helps as a new awing can cost a lot

This is the XL not sure what the maximum awning rail hight is. It getting enough tension on it that may be the problem, as it is designed to fit onto the wind out awning. You wind it out about 600 mm, fit the awning, and then with d it back in to get the tension.
We hope to have our first trip at a very laid back small site so I may just take it and have a fiddle around.
