New second hand caravan upholstery needs a freshen . I am going to use my vax on the seats but has any one tried washing the ones which come off? I thought a 30 degree wash for 15 mins or a wool wash? Thanks

For the last 10 years we have always used 1001 carpet and upholstery shampoo as it not only cleans but also leaves an aromatic refreshing smell.

We have just done ours with car upholstery cleaner.
Spray it on. Wipe it off.

Car seat cleaners are good for vans too. At this time of year make sure you heat your van for a few days afterwards to ensure the fabric dries out fully or you may get mouldy seats

Autoglym interior shampoo find it amazing gets spotless and leaves very pleasant smell. Great for the carpets also

Hi,
Rather than risk them shrinking, as OP have said ,a good upholstery cleaner will work wonders.
My personal favourite is the turtle wax with built in brush from B & Q.
Lifts the dirt and also smells really nice.

We use car upholstery shampoo. Wouldn't risk washing them incase it shrinks!

bought a carpet spot cleaner from Aldi, standard size bottle has a little 4" brush on end, used it at weekend come up a treat and hardly used any, just sqeeze and disperse the foam

We machine washed all of ours. They were a PITA to get back on but I'm happier knowing they're clean!
