dont get the ones with elastic straps or you will have to get a second set.
The clamp one ones work well for us. The elastic straps one vibrate to much and move about.------------- if your not living life on the edge your taking up tooo much room

On my third set now ..... Think they are all cr*p, tried the strap one ..... Vibrated too much, tried a set that just had a sort of crossover scissor action .... Same , now with a pair of milenco clamp on, don't really fit properly , the brackets are too thick to fit between the mirror and the mirror housing , thereby moving and jamming the mirror, if it wasn't a legal requirement and honestly wouldn't bother , in fact did come home once without, nearly home before I realised 😖😂😂😂
Plus the little plastic "feet " keep jumping off 😡😡😡😡------------- Keep smiling, its later than you think !

I have used strap-on ones for years on my Volvo, and no problems whatsoever. I don't experience any vibration, and the mirrors attach firmly. I am beginning to think that it may depend on the car rather than the towing mirrors.------------- Best Regards,
Colin

I have always used strap on mirrors without a problem. I replaced the straps last year as they were showing signs of fatigue and the new straps were not expensive. I use a flat lens on the off side and a convex on the near side as it gives a better view, particularly at motorway on slips where the idiots attempt to undertake you. ------------- mm48j

I too have always used the strap on mirrors for many many years and various cars, and never had any problems with vibration - they cost about a tenner many moons ago (not quite predecimal but feels like it) only issue I've had is buying longer straps (eBay bargain) to fit around my last car's HUGE mirrors!
.... Although I have been tempted with the Milenco Grand Aero 3s, but they are so expensive, in relative terms.....
Cheers
