How good are air awnings on sloping uneven pitches my concern is not been able to adjust the pole height and not ending up with a baggy flapping awning

Good is not quite the word, they cope better than a conventional pole awning as they are bendy. They may not seal as well round the van is all. Think of them as flexible.

IF you can live with the van on a bit of a slope then you can get the awning square again or at least reduce the deflection.
