hi we currently have a camptech eleganza awning and was told it would fit our van its 975 to 1000 . Our van measures 981 it seems long at the sides , So after a lot of messing an arguing over it we have decided to get another awning. As we are pensioners we are looking at used and have seen a ventura ocean 975 for £400 with steel frame . Has anyone got any experience of this as a seasonal awning as on the website it says The new Ocean model is a lightweight, full awning for touring. The one-piece roof and all the sides are made from coated polyester – so it is easy to clean, and lightweight for easy handling. The awning comes with four removable panels for easy assembly, and ventilation nets in both sides. The long canopy protects the front doorways and, for added value, this model is supplied with a steel frame only.Would this be ok fro seasonal pitch .The camptech one says suitable for seasonal use. Or is all this just the manufactures seems like thet are both coated polyester although camptech says its tent cate coated polyester. This is so difficult to figure out what they mean . Anyone throw any light on this for us . We don't want to waste more money we havnt got x
Maggie, would it not have been a better idea to have kept all your awning/seasonal awning/awning furniture questions in the one thread. This would have saved people reading loads of threads.
Just a thought.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
When we bought our new to us caravan it came with an awning. It was much too long. We looked into getting another one or the cost of having it altered to fit. In the end we decided to have the alteration done. If you know how much it is too long by then that is the amount that it needs reducing by. We used a local firm that make tarpaulins and for less than £100 did an excellent job.
As you will probably be taking it down for the winter is this an option for you to consider during that time?
