I'm sure it could be done, you may need to look at the pressure switch to see it it's still in the circuit and wire up a connection thru the water connection plus a the cost of another pump if I read it correctly. Why not try and reduce the noise of the inboard pump instead? Is it mounted on rubber 'feet' or close to something and knocking?
