We're on our first caravan (Sterling Europa 490 2005) hence very much funding our feet with it.
Anyway, today I had the tyre looked at thinking it had a slow puncture...turns out the tyre is fine but the alloy has a few very small holes on it allowing air to slowly escape.
I'm hopeful that a professional refurb will see it right, I was wondering however if this is common and if I do end up forking out for a new alloy can anyone recommend any outlets for a 2nd hand 5 spoke 14inch?...Lowdham's wanted over 300 quid!!! Ouch! (Even worse considering I'm about to shell out further a motor mover AND maybe a new battery as it would seem out 80ah won't do the job apparently.
the alloy is 10/11 years old, think about car alloy wheels and the state they would be in. ou should be okay with a refurb but make sure they smooth the beads where pitting can occur and give them a good laquer

+1. Make sure the inside well of the wheel is fully refinished too, as alloys can be porous, hence your leaks
An 85Ah battery will be fine unless you need to move the van large distances.
I have used mine with a small jump pack with a sub 18Ah battery. Last time i used the jump pack on the mover the battery was approx 8 years old. so due for replacement.
