Simple question really - Like many others I have used the normal blue fluid for the cassette and pink for the flush.
I don't really like the chemical type smell and was looking for something more fragrant and so I have tried one of the new more friendly brands which are called Dometic Eco Fair
They don't smell of chemicals but are nowhere near as effective as the normal blue fluid.
I use the own brand Tesco's and Sainsbury's bio laundry liquid.
It does not smell, so whilst it avoids the chemical smell it does not replace that with a scented fragrance.
I do though dump the contents every morning, mainly because I can no longer cope with the weight of a full cassette, an aging issue. So I place no long term demands on the product and as it is dirt cheap is frequent use is not an issue. Some of these are 28 shots for about £1.60 ; I use a cap full per charge.
These products are enzyme based and very effectively break down solids, they do nothing for the colour. I have found progressively over about 4 years using them the cassette has become very much cleaner of the scale that used to build up.
I just use the normal blue/pink liquids in my toilet, and regarding the smell, am I the only one that actually likes the smell of those chemicals? I mean it could be because the smell always reminds me of caravanning with my parents when I was "a wee lad" back in the day, happy times
I have just read an extensive thread on another forum about using bio liquid pods. The results of those using them were all positive, some have been doing it for years. Comments that it breaks everything down much more thoroughly, and nicer smells. No issues found with seals from those who have been using them for years. Since our blue has just run out I'm going to give the bio pods a try.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We use Thetford green for the waste tank, and Thetford lavender-perfumed pink fluid for the top tank.
I fill the measure to the top with the Green, and add a generous measure of the pink when I refill top-up the top tank every other day.
And I empty the waste tank daily.
Bertie.

Any bio ones will do, but cheap is always good. Pop one in the waste tank when empty. Some say with a splash of water, some say don't bother.
I too didn't much care for the smell of some chemicals, so I recently tried SuperKem a one chem from elsan, its very good and you don't need to use anywhere near the amount suggested on the bottle and a local supplier sells it for £9 for 2ltrs
