I was thinking of buying an old (maybe vintage) towing caravan and pitching it for a season on a site, doing it up a bit etc. What should I be thinking about?
You should be thinking how much work you want to do on it. An old caravan might be mid 80s onwards. You can often find caravans, late 80s, early 90s on ebay in good condition that may need a bit of diy work for just a few £100s.
If you want to go back, 1970s or older then these could be considered vintage & sometimes you will see these on ebay in restored condition. Good ones can sell for several £1000s.
If you want an interesting older caravan, a name to look out for might be Carlight. These we originally expensive high end caravans & you can often find them on ebay in varying conditions. Expect to pay well over £1000 for a reasonably good example.
