I don't have a telly in my caravan and don't want one. But I do enjoy a bit of music, either my own CDs/MP3s or the radio.

From the start, to say I was disappointed by Swift's stereo offerings (cheap speakers, cheap JVC head unit) was an understatement; it was the tinniest rubbish I've heard.

Replaced the speakers and now have a nice Pioneer double DIN head unit, but in country campsites the supplied whip aerial really wasn't up to the job.

Recently realised (Doh!) that the caravan's Status 550 is also a DAB and FM antenna as well as TV, so spent a day running coax to the radio.

Eureka! the difference in reception is amazing. While I need to adjust the directional antenna, once this is done I have stations the whip aerial couldn't hope to pick up.

What I can't understand is why Swift didn't wire this up for radio too, instead of the useless aerial they supplied.
