Hi, has anyone viewed coachman 2016 VIP models either at 2015 Nov NEC show or 2016 Feb SECC show and remember what the window handles were like. I Just picked up my new 575 and note that the small black plastic window handles are the standard common type without locking buttons. I could have sworn those on the show models had push button locks on the handles, which we noted specifically, as we were considering buying the small metal locking bars for the standard ones, which some enterprising sole had designed and was selling as accessories at those shows (can't remember the manufacturer).
Viewed them at Knowepark and have to admit window handles were something we never looked at.
Going to order a 2017 later in the year, torn between the 545 & 575.
Off topic, but how was the delivery date from Coachman.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Hi, we ordered ours early Feb accepting we were advised at the time that the Feb production was to be delayed to March production, which turned out to be last week in March, first week in April. We were never given a specific date for delivery, but were advised only within days, not weeks, that our van was to be available and we collected it on 3rd week of April. I don't know how this time scale compares to other manufacturers, from personal experience, as I've never bought new before. I have heard of a dealer stopping selling another well known brand because the delivery times were never reliable. I'd say though, that the extra wait we had was worth the product. We vewed all the competition at previous shows and concluded that( if you have the vehicle to match it- due to the heavier weight) it's definitely better quality , down to , for example: the drawer runners are roller bearing type, compared to the normal steel and 2 nylon rollers "home base" stuff on all the others. Dealer could not be faulted, the manufacturer holds the cards on delivery.
It's only because we saw somebody selling a rather innovative flanged steel bracket at about £8 each, at the NEC that fits over the standard handles, that we paid further attention to the show models. The coachman VIP models definitely had a push button on the handle.
