Hi, I did the same thing last year, I think I was lucky as it was a small crack letting the water in so I was able to seal it myself. Wallboard had got soft just under the crack for a few inches. But had damp readings of 30-50% down the wall and onto the floor. I made a few pin holes over the worst areas and then left a fan heater running most days with a small elec dehumidifier (£25ish), did this for most of the summer when van wasn't in use. I filled pin holes with normal bathroom silicone of color same as wallboard, so can't see them. I now have no damp readings over 15-20% and only visable sign is wrinkled wallboard inside a cabinet. By no means the perfect fix, but in my (very good condition) 10 year old van I am happy with it and we hope to get a few more good years out of it.
