Have never used the bunks. however now need to!!! BUT I do not have the safety boards for the top bunk. I gather there are 3 parts 2 for the side and one for the end of bunk. Its driving me frantic looking! Anyone know where I could obtain these from>

ARe yours the fold up bunks rather than fixed bunks? I don't know the proper answer, but I know you could try fixing the cot side fold down things you can get for kids beds such as those at Kiddicare.com. it won't solve the end of bed issue, but kids most likely to roll off sideways. not sure how old your kids are but top bunk is supposed to be for 6 years plus so shouldn't need them at all I guess if they are.

Make some out of MDF
They only slot in and fix with a bracket.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flush-Mount-Hidden-Mirror-Brackets/dp/B00CBCVNO2/ref=pd_sim_201_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=41e4ZFbEvvL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0ATQ1EQSAAM73C2GT829

Ours came with two sides.
One of them is hinged and opens up and becomes the side and headboard, then there is a gap and then another one at the bottom end.
