Glad to hear you like it. We have one on order for when we collect our van. Couldn't find many reviews for them so just took a gamble. We love our Vango tent and I relly wanted to upgrade to an inflatable tent before we decided to switch to a caravan so it made sense to go for this :)
Found it easy to put up and take down and the strong winds didn't bother it. And not an argument to be heard as the O H can settle down and enjoy a glass of wine. Hope you enjoy your new van and awning have fun.
We have one and tried it for the first time at weekend. Considering its the first time we've put up any awning we found it straight forward and quick. Can't wait to put it up again Easter weekend.

i got 1 to fit my new van will try out at easter.
well tried it out at easter, went up a treat,But now put it up in a light breeze and the beam that is taking force of the wind is buckling under the strain,i have removed the beam out of its sleave and it is bent in the wrong place, not impressed and is leaking along top near awning rail,is this normal for a new awning to leak .
I'm resurrecting this thread as I'm considering a Varkala 420, I hope no one minds.
I have a single question: Does the roof of the caravan have to be completely horizontal? my caravan is horizontal for about 3-3.5m (from the rear) the angles slightly down toward the front before angling again for the front window. I have emailed Vango about this and they implied it would be fine however I was not convinced by their response. Anyone actually got experience of fitting on a 'not completely horizontal' roof/awning rail.
We have this awning. Our caravan is a Bailey Ranger 550/6. The roof slants slightly and the awning is fine. See if you can find an image of our caravan and compare it to yours.
Hope this helps.
I bought the Vango Varkala 420 yesterday on Amazon its supplied by Glossops , it was delivered this morning but I was out , so it should be here tomorrow ,

an update on my vango air beam awning. after problems with awning, was offered a replacement from the dealer.but rejected it and got a full size dorema awning with steel poles instead,
Got the Vango today its heavier and bulkier than I thought , so I took the supplied , Pegs , mallet / storm straps / cross beams / pump / and rear pads / skirt and wheel arch covers in another bag to reduce weight , I hope it feels lighter when I thread it through the awning rail
Same here I have just purchased the Vango 420 air beam from glossops, it came yesterday I have seen them on display and was impressed, I''m off the Wales at the weekend so will try it out.
