Just bought a Kampa breathable groundsheet for our caravan. Breathable it isn't. When we took it up after 4 days the grass was really yellow some site owners would have complained when they stipulate breathable groundsheet only to be used. Lovely groundsheet for hard standing pitch but think we will have to revert to our old one when on grass pitch in future

Which one have you bought? I use one with my Dorema Magnum Air and it's fine

Yellowing of grass can be caused by the breathable groundsheet blocking the light out

The grass will soon recover, it's only temporary due to the ground sheet blocking out the light. When we pitch on grass we always try to pack our porch away the night before leaving, it gives the grass extra recovery time before someone else comes onto the pitch and hopefully the porch is dry ready for use next time.

Checkout1973 we bought the Kampa continental it really made a mess of the grass I am sure lifting the night before which we usually do would not have made any difference I know the grass will recover but some site owners are very conscious of the pitches not being spoilt by groundsheets

That's odd its the same carpet we use with ours. Not noticed the grass is any worse than our previous carpet

Maybe it was the conditions wet when we arrived then very warm then wet
