Ive just picked up my first tourer. Its a coachman genius 1997 i couldn't speak to the previous owner to run me through everything. Ive got the blown air heater working...ive not tried water system yet. My first question is....does anyone know if there is a pre installed battery charger and if so how do i get it to charge the battery?

Is there an electrical control panel somewhere?

It will likely have a button to switch the charger on once mains is applied to the electrical inlet point.

Not always!!
Depends on how the car is wired up.

Good point, you need both sets of electrics on your tow bar for that to work.

Had one for 11 years great van and charging unit is in the control unit built in.

If someone has used a genny on the van at any time, you may find that they have blown the fuse within the unit if it is not charging.
